Our CEO and founder, John Rediehs is a 4th generation member of a successful family transportation business. John grew up around the trucking industry and his passion grew into opening his own brokerage, securing his authority in late 2012. Over the years Red Dog has continued to re-invent themselves and is now a full-service logistics company heavily invested in digital solutions and proprietary transportation technology. When John got started, he had recruited 2 others to help him grow and get the ball rolling. From 3 guys, 3 computers, 3 phones, they started calling to secure freight and forge business relationships. Red Dog Logistics has grown from $0 in sales 2012 to a 30Millions+ Corporation in 2022.
Today Red Dog is in active growth mode, with over 65 employees working both in the U.S. and abroad. In addition to our HQ in Chicago, our Grand Rapids office is our second hub, where we house our sales and accounting divisions. As Red Dog continues to grow from pup to DOG, our goal is to double revenue year over year and maintain our focus on customer relations and technology-backed solutions.

Our portfolio of clients in the food and beverage space range from smaller, family-owned food mfgs to publicly traded, worldwide brands. Our Refrigerated distribution team works to maintain relationships and leverage capacity for both refrigerated and frozen FTL. In addition to food distribution, our beverage distribution unit that runs daily shuttles for both inbound and outbound loads for major brewery + soda companies.
At Red Dog’s inception, flatbed work was, and remains to be a big sector of our business. Of the thousands of loads moved per month, about 65% of them move on flatbeds. In addition to our flatbed expertise, we have mastered the art of communication because several clients rely on that careful planning and communication to make delivery within a short window to a remote job-site. Our operations team understands the time sensitive nature of these loads and know that making the crew wait onsite is a failure. Red Dog makes hundreds of job-site deliveries per year and is proud to be the leading provider for this time sensitive work.
